Digg v3 requires login to view some stories
UPDATE: Login is only required for the new, “beta” categories. This has been pointed out my many digg commenters.
So I cruise by digg.com to see the much-anticipated v3.0. Everything’s cool, but then I notice that clicking on some stories requires you to login. Perhaps this is in response to the stories about social freeloaders on sites such as this one. Regardless, I’m not a big fan of required login (though I am registered), especially for a news site that’s designed for quick scans of the front-page articles. Clicking on several unpromoted stories redirected me to digg.com/login, a page saying ”

Whole Screen: Shift+Command+3
Select Portions of the Screen: Shift+Command+4 then use mouse to draw a rectangle of what you want to capture.

You can almost always take a screenshot in OS X with the key-combo “Command-Shift-Three”.
This should leave the shot sitting as a file on your desktop. Give it a try, lemme know if it works.

I don’t know if this is because of v3 but my profile and IP have been banned from digg, mind you that i’ve never “abused” anyone or violated their TOS, I hope that they are not swelled heads over there. We all like the site but I wonder if i’m the only one who has gotten this since v3 went up.

then click and drag the area for a .png screenshot.

To get a capture of a portion of your OS X window,
Use Command/shift and press the number 4.
You will see cross hairs.
Drag over the portion you want to capture and it will save it to your desktop as “picture1″
There are other ways to do it but this is my preferred method.

Yes, this is to address social freeloading. They want to monetize us.
They want to maximize their number of registered users to put into a media kit to generate or increase ad revenue from display ads (other than google adsense-the kind purchased using insertion orders from media planners and agencies)

OK, so if you ignore all our new features, nothing has changed… you can still read technology stories popular and upcoming without having to login. In fact, we’ve kept the default view on our homepage as the Technology container so that it appeals to our existing users and people who know and understand the old digg.com site.
But if you log in… (yeah, with a bit of encouragement - after all we are a startup eager for new users) - you get to play with all the cool new stuff.

I’m surprised at Digg, like getting free unique content isn’t enough to make some serious cash from adverts. Now you have to login most likely so they can do some ad targeting.
I think I’ll stick with Slashdot as I do not HAVE to register. Digg almost had me, guess it’s time to drop their RSS feed now that all articles point to the login page.

Руководствуясь не нормой закона, а чьей-то “волей” сотрудники милиции решили “проверить” все фирмы, внесшие денежные средства в избирательный фонд неудобных кандидатов.
Начались “проверки” с телефонных звонков - где директор, сколько человек работает на фирме. После чего последовали “письма счастья” с просьбой предоставить всю бухгалтерскую документацию, учредительные документы фирмы, и даже, план экспликации БТИ.
Такие запросы химкинским фирмам рассылает 1 отдел Оперативно-розыскной части № 9 Управления по налоговым преступлениям ГУВД Московской области за подписью начальника подполковника милиции Д.В. Языкова.
И всё это в то время, когда Президент дал прямое указание правоохранительным органам о прекращении всех незаконных проверок малого и среднего бизнеса. С это целью внесены изменения в Федеральный закон “О милиции” - из статьи 11 этого закона исключены пункты 25 и 35, на основании которых ранее правоохранительные органы имели право проверять финансово-хозяйственную деятельность предприятий.
Видно, об изменениях действующего законодательства местные правоохранительные органы не уведомлены. И не смотрят телепередачи с выступлениями Президента.
Может быть, эта публикация подвигнет их к исполнению указаний Президента, а также к изучению и соблюдению действующего законодательства

В процессе проектирования сруба возникли некоторые вопросы.
1. Какова максимальная длина готового бревна? Какую длинну рекомендуют использовать?
2. Каков диаметр бревна для нашей полосы(по теплотехнике)?
3. Каков выпуск бревен на углах?

О черной магии

С каждым из вас тоже способны случаться не очень хорошие ситуации. Так зачем же не решить их с помощью магической науки, в которой нет ничего скверного. При всем при том магия несет тому, кто прибегает к ее помощи только желаемый итог.

Здравствуйте! Купили новую жилплощадь со сложной конфигурацией, теперь очередь за интерьером и мебелью.
Слышала, переплачивать отдельно дизайнеру интерьера глупо, т.к. хорошие мебельные марки делают это для своих покупателей бесплатно.
На своих нервах и здоровье детей экономить не будем, так что как говорится, “цена - не вопрос”

Все привет!
тут пару дней назад наткнулся на одну задачку, и реально не могу найти ответ. Подскажите кто может. Суть в следущем:
3 женщины решили купить чайник, который стоит 30 долларов и скинулись по 10 долларов. Потом менеджер узнал, что чайник стоит 25 доларов, он получил из кассы 5 долларов и решил отдать их женщинам.
Hо как поделить 5 на 3?
Поэтому он каждой женщине отдал по 1 доллару (всего получается 3), а себе взял 2.
Итак, каждая женщина получила обратно по 1 доллару.
То есть вместо 10 потратила 9 долларов.
Во сколько обошелся чайник женщинам?
Правильно, в 9х3 = 27 долларов.
К ним прибавляем 2 доллара, которые менеджер положил себе в карман.
Получается 29
Кто подскажет где вкралась ошибка?
